In the book the Maze Runner the main character Thomas suddenly wakes up in a strange place called the Glade. The inhabidentsknown as the Gladers greet him and he soon discovers that he nor the others can remember anything. He soon learns that the Glade is surrounded by a maze that seems unsolvable and in the maze there are the creatures known as grievers which can kill. Thomas's job is to figure out how to get out and his job is a runner who is someone who searches throught the maze for a way out. The theme of the story is to never give up because there is always a solution and to work together.
